HF2 PARCA freehub is completely silent while coasting, providing quiet rides with instant engagement. This gapless engagement is very useful in urban environments where cyclists constantly change their cadence and where phases of coasting and pedaling occur in rapid succession.
HF1 and HF2 (non-PARCA) include the G72 ratchet mechanism present in Ridea road bike hubs. The 6 pawls of our G72 ACCELERATION hub work in groups of 3 to double the 36 teeth of the ratchet to 72 contact points to offer smooth and fast transitions while producing a nice and quality sound.
